Hurricane-resistant storefront

United States Aluminum, Waxahachie, Texas, debuted the Storm Front Series IG451, hurricane-resistant storefront. The series features a center glaze storefront design that is the basis for a thermally insulated, dry-glaze hurricane-resistant system. It meets requirements up to Zone 3 criteria, fulfilling the majority of hurricane impact applications. The efficient Series IG451 uses 1-inch impact glass that requires less metal and glass than current high velocity hurricane zone systems. The system can be inside or outside glazed, and the thermal breaks in the IG451—the company’s Poly-Aluminizer and Stuct- Link—give the system a .48 U-Value.
