TAPE MT1500

Besten Inc., Cleveland, manufacturer of equipment used for assembling and glazing insulating glass components, introduced the TAPE, Totally Automated Production Equipment, MT1500 automated IG production line. It allows IG fabricators to produce between 1,400 and 1,600 units per shift on a single line, according to a company release. The equipment layout pairs two applicators in a single line. When a lite of glass stops under one of the two applicators, a digital camera takes a photograph and the equipment uses the photo to immediately adjust for the lite’s location on the application bed. The second in-line horizontal applicator allows the operator to run the line using both applicators or single applicator. TAPE MT1500 is compatible with Solon, Ohio-based Truseal Technologies’ Dura Platform flexible spacer systems, including Duraseal and Duralite spacers.
