New configurations of Kawneer Co.'s 8400TL IsoLock horizontal sliding window and AA3350  IsoPort single-hung window have been successfully tested for hurricane-impact resistance,  according to company officials. All windows certified as hurricane-impact resistant have been tested according to the standards set forth in the Florida Building Code (TAS 201, TAS 202, and TAS 203) and ASTM impact and cycle protocols and test standards (ASTM E1886 and ASTM E1996). The 8400TL IsoLock horizontal sliding window offers increased security and addresses aesthetic requirements. It features a 4-inch frame depth, and the window is factory silicone glazed to ease jobsite timeline pressures, according to a release. The AA3350 IsoPort single-hung window is available with a 3 ½-inch frame depth, is factory silicone glazed and utilizes a polyamide thermal break for thermal performance, according to the release.
