Low-iron glass

The Laurinburg, N.C., facility of Pilkington NSG Group, Japan, now produces and offers Optiwhite low-iron float glass. The trend to decorative glass and the overall push to higher daylight transmittance products have created this opportunity in North America. Optiwhite has a near colorless appearance, and can be used in storefronts, showers, appliances, decorative and furniture applications, photovoltaic modules and solar collectors.
