Kaeser Kompressoren GmbH of Germany, with U.S. headquarters in Fredericksburg, Va., introduced a modular, aluminum compressed-air distribution system, SmartPipe. Made from smooth, calibrated aluminum with a low friction coefficient, the system is rust and corrosion resistant. Full bore fittings minimize pressure drop and leak-free connectors prevent compressed air loss, according to a company release. The system features lightweight materials and push-to-fit connectors that can be installed without threading, welding or sweating. It can be integrated into existing systems and modified to accommodate changing needs. Available in multiple sizes, SmartPipe is suitable for headers and branch lines all the way down to point of use.
