Pittsburgh’s PPG Industries Inc. introduced Solarban z50, a steely blue-gray solar control low-E glass, and a free Solarban z50 design kit, according to a company release. Solarban z50 has low exterior reflectance and high visible light transmittance. The design kit shows Solarban z50 in combination with six PPG clear and tinted glasses in standard 1-inch insulating glass units; resulting tints range from aqua-blue to light-gray.
