One-man glass lifter

Quattrolifts, Henderson, Nev., developed a one-man glass lifter that helps users avoid back strain. The Express, a small portable lifter, allows one person to move lites weighing up to 200 pounds or two people to move lites up to 300 pounds. The lifter is loaded onto a truck in two 30-pound parts and easily assembled in under a minute, according to a company release. Once assembled, the Express can unload lites off the truck and then transport the lites and windows on site. The large 13-inch pneumatic wheels allow for traveling over rough grounds on construction sites. The wheelbase can be adjusted from 26 inches to 32 inches, allowing for narrow walkways on-site. The product allows the lite or window to be rotated 360 degrees, and the user can index the lite, allowing it to be moved through standard 36-inch wide doorways.
