Oversize screen printer

Chicago-based A.W.T. World Trade Inc. will introduce an oversize screen printing press for printing on large architectural glass panels. The company developed a companion drying system, Jet-Steam Q, that automatically handles the press’s output of panels up to 90 inches wide and weighing several hundred pounds. The Accu-Print High Tech V-Long Stroke/ Over Size features an all-hydraulic vertical-lift drive that provides smooth operation at full production speeds as well as better access to the working area, according to a company release. The press is designed with parallel peel, creating a more uniform ink deposit. The screen height is adjustable to accommodate panels of varying thickness. A standard phone-modem provides direct communication between the machine’s onboard microprocessor and central A.W.T. diagnostics computer. The remote diagnostics system identifies malfunction sources to enable precise corrective measures. An optional internet link is available. The Jet-Steam Q dryer, available in multiple modules, features quartz heating lamps above, and optional lamps below the substrate. The lamps prevent possible distortion of heavy glass panels resulting from significant temperature variances on their top and bottom surfaces.A.W.T. World Trade Inc.
