Montag Windows & Doors, Roswell, Ga., introduced its line of lift-and-slide pocket door products to the U.S. market. With panels available up to 110 square feet, the doors allow architects to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, as the panels “telescope” into a simple wall pocket. Each door is custom fabricated and available in a number of pre-finished wood types. A minimal height water-rated threshold provides a smooth transition from the living spaces to the outdoors. Montag offers impact-resistant glazing configurations using a 1-1/4-inch laminated insulating unit, with a clear low-E coating. These impact products are available in 4-foot-by-8-foot panels that can be configured with two, three or four panels. All of Montag’s impact products are tested and certified to the Miami-Dade HVHZ Impact standard with the highest design pressures in the industry at +65/-85 pounds per square foot for solid wood lift-and slide-doors, according to a release.
