Pattern solar glass

Guardian Industries, Auburn Hills, Mich., introduced EcoGuard Pattern Glass, a low-iron pattern glass designed to maximize solar energy transmission and enhance photovoltaic module performance. The glass can be used in a variety of applications, including photovoltaic energy systems, solar thermal collectors, greenhouses and other applications requiring high solar transmission and light control.

According to a company release, EcoGuard Pattern glass offers advantages in manufacturing and performance due to the product’s pattern uniformity and solar transmission consistency. Guardian is currently producing matte/matte and matte/prismatic pattern glasses. The company is conducting research to further increase solar transmission by optimizing the textured pattern.
