SunGuard Photovoltaic Glass Unit

Guardian Industries, in conjunction with Pythagoras Solar, www.pythagoras-solar.com, will introduce the SunGuard Photovoltaic Glass Unit that combines Pythagoras PV technology with SunGuard low-E glass. A building-integrated photovoltaic product, the PVGU optimizes daylighting, increases energy efficiency and generates electricity to meet building needs.

Guardian also will debut SunGuard Dynamic Glass, a new product integrating SunGuard coated glass with technology from Soladigm, www.soladigm.com. This electrochromic glass changes between a clear and tinted state, balancing natural light while managing glare. SunGuard Dynamic Glass lowers building energy costs by blocking solar heat when tinted (reducing cooling) and transmitting light when clear (reducing electricity costs). Booth 1943.
