Polishing wheels

Universal Photonics, Hicksville, N.Y., developed the V2 Polish and Pre-Polish Wheels for slurry-less polishing of glass of any thickness. The wheels use only water to polish, eliminating the need for cerium oxide, offering cost savings, requiring less downtime and maintenance, and reducing mixing and cleanup time. The cleaner polishing process also allows for longer wheel performance. The wheels, like Universal Photonics’ LP Wheels, offer increased line definition and bevel clarity, delivering clean finishes with virtually no wheel marks, according to a company release. V2 Wheels are available in a variety of dimensions or can be fabricated to custom specifications.
