Spacer bar

Saint-Gobain Swisspacer, with U.S. headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz., showed the SGG Swisspacer, a thermally optimized spacer bar made from a highly insulating glass fiber-reinforced composite material. Thin metal membranes, made of aluminum or stainless steel, prevent gas and water vapor leakage, and offer excellent adhesion for all insulation glass sealing compounds. The spacer bar can improve the thermal performance of sealed units and windows, according to a company release. It requires no special investment for processing the product, and can help achieve high window energy ratings.
