J.E. Berkowitz L.P. of Pedricktown, N.J., introduced Fusion laminated glass, Fusion Expressions and Fusion Plus.
Fusion laminated glass can be used for insulating glass units, stair treads and flooring, skylights, balustrades and railings, and point-supported walls and canopies. It provides ultraviolet protection, hurricane resistance, safety, security and sound control, according to the company Web site. Standard interlayer colors are DuPont Butacite Clear and DuPont Butacite Translucent White No. 0216500. Interlayers can be laminated with clear, tinted, pyrolytic and sputter-coated low-E substrates, and a larger range of colors can be achieved by combining tinted glass substrates with a clear or translucent white interlayer.
Fusion Expressions decorative laminated glass uses high-resolution DuPont SentryGlas Expressions digitally-printed PVB interlayers to create a decorative laminated safety glass with a digital image embedded inside. Exact images or patterns with high definition and vivid color can be created for use in vision or non-vision areas and low-iron glass can be used for optimal clarity and color, according to the Web site.
Fusion Plus laminated glass is a combination of low-iron glass and DuPont SentryGlas Plus interlayer that offers high clarity, strength, and edge stability for point-supported applications, according to the Web site. SentryGlas Plus, 100 times stiffer and five times stronger than conventional interlayer, has earned Miami Dade County’s Product Control Notice of Acceptance for hurricane resistance.
