Piab introduced a new line of extra-large, flat suction cups designed to handle various product sheets safely and securely in manufacturing environments, according to a company release. The XLF line of suction cups is available in four different diameter sizes—150 millimeters, 200
mm, 250 mm and 300 mm. All sizes are similarly designed with an aluminum plate molded into the durable and long-lasting 60-degree Shore Nitrile-PVC rubber. The PWIS/silicone-free material does not leave behind any marks on the handled product, so no extra cleaning is required, according to the supplier. Additionally, the cups can be used in a customized mounting frame or lifting device. Features such as vacuum sensing and quick product release are available, and built-in cleats provide maximum suction cup gripping. The cups can handle weights up to 1,100 pounds.
