Triple-pane retrofit

Edgetech I.G., Cambridge, Ohio, will feature the new Renovate technology with Super Spacer TriSeal from JE Berkowitz, Pedricktown, N.J., at the American Institute of Architects exhibition, June 10-12, in Miami. Renovate by Berkowitz is a retrofitting system that enables building professionals to turn existing non-operable, single-pane insulating glass into energy-efficient, triple-pane systems. Renovate is up to 35 percent less expensive than a full tear-out and replacement, according to an Edgetech release. The technology includes a custom version of Super Spacer TriSeal, and is designed specifically for commercial retrofitting applications, including office buildings, schools, hospitals and government buildings that have single-pane, non-operating windows. The Renovate system can be retrofitted over existing glass from the interior of the building for minimal disruption. Edgetech will also show Super Spacer TriSeal for structural and captured-glazed insulating glass and SustainaBlock setting blocks at AIA. Booth 2163.
