Ceramic lift-out and Lehr rollers

Vesuvius introduced lift-out and Lehr rollers engineered specifically for high quality thin glass. Showcased in Las Vegas, the newly improved rollers made from Zyacil―a refractory fiber-based body―and Zyarock―a fused silica-based ceramic body―offer mechanical, physical, chemical and thermal properties suited for the flat glass industry’s challenging requirements, according to the exhibitor. Coupled with improved resistance to tin metal and sodium sulphate buildup, these roller materials offer significantly improved performance over commonly used metal, asbestos and mill board-based rollers, the company reports.
