Gas-fill verification

The direct measurement technology in the new ThermalCHECK system, from Integrated Automation Systems, allows users to verify the amount of argon or krypton in an insulating glass unit immediately after fabrication. ThermalCHECK is an affordable and compact system that first mixes and then directly measures the gas content in IG air spaces, according to company officials. An operator inserts the testing wand into the airspace and presses the test button. ThermalCHECK displays the percentage of argon or krypton, and prints a label with the reading. If the gas content falls below the specified setting, the system displays an alert.
