Rotatable sputtering technology

The sputter division of Bekaert Advanced Coatings, Belgium, introduced its most recent rotatable sputtering technology, the one-piece AZO (Zinc Oxide doped with Aluminum oxide) rotatable target.

The new AZO rotatable target will create high value for photovoltaic customers as it ensures a more stable process and allows higher power rates, according to a release.

By combining rotatable targets with its innovative sputter hardware, Bekaert is able to offer complete solutions for new coating lines as well as retrofit existing PVD sputter lines, by enabling longer production runs, faster coating deposition and higher material utilization.
