Italy's Schiatti Angelo S.r.l. will highlight its Model FPS50 straight grinding machine. The machine grinds and polishes flat edges with arris on a maximum glass thickness of 55 millimeters (2.17 inches). It can process glass lites as small as 100 mm by 100 mm (3.94 inches by 3.94 inches). All machine functions are controlled by a graphical programmable logic controller, or PLC, on the control panel. Functions include polishing wheel ascent and descent, track opening adjustment, troubleshooting, sequential starting of motors and work parameters display. Options include a dubbing device, 1 meter (3.3-foot) height extension, and 1 meter inlet/outlet extension. Booth 1136.
