Mikron 11300™ Sets the Standard for AW-Rated System Performance

Awning window

Winco Window Company's 1150 awning window can now meet the operating force and motion guidelines to support the American Disabilities Act (ADA).  For architects designing for schools and other public facilities, Winco’s commercial 1150 window is one of the few aluminum window options to meet this requirement. 

The 1150 awning window meets the requirements set out by AAMA 513, which requires that operable windows have a force rating of less than 5 pounds, along with air, water, structural, operational, and thermal cycling requirements. The AAMA 513-14 laboratory test method aims to demonstrate whether a given window unit (as designed) can be operated with forces and motions consistent with ANSI / ICC A117.1 – 2017 limitations when properly installed, adjusted, and maintained.   

Awning window

The i85h is an energy-efficient aluminum window with an advanced thermal break and a sightline that duplicates the look of a historic window. Combining the look of yesterday’s windows with tomorrow’s technology, the i85h includes a 3 ⅜-inch frame depth, water resistance of 15 per square foot and 1-inch glazing. Available in fixed and simulated double-hung styles with an anodized or painted finish.

The Series 2700 is a 3-¼-inch jamb aluminum tilt-in sash double-hung window with enhanced energy performance and an AW-rated model. Suitable for a variety of replacement and new construction applications, the Crystal Series 2700 meets the latest stringent energy code requirements of New York City and other jurisdictions. It is available in both commercial window CW-PG50 and architectural-rated AW-PG50 versions. It features a fast draining sloped sill, easy clean tilt-in sashes and an aesthetically pleasing equal sightline design. The 2700 Double-Hung also includes a full width auto-lock pull/lift rail at the head and sill, as well as a continuous weather strip at the meeting rail for improved air and water tightness.
