Selinske's experience

Selinske is the founder of American Glass & Mirror in Prior Lake, Minnesota—which he has operated alongside his wife, Mary, since 1984.

“We are thrilled to welcome Guy as our Executive Director,” says Jessica Hanson, president of the MGA. “His lifelong commitment to this trade and his previous leadership at both the state and national levels make him the ideal person to strengthen our association. Guy understands the challenges our members face, from workforce development to legislative shifts, and he has the vision to lead us through them.”

Selinske previously served on the MGA Board of Directors for five years and held the position of MGA President in 1999. On a national stage, he recently served as the Board Chair for the National Glass Association (NGA) in 2021-2022, where he championed installer training and the promotion of glazing as a primary career path.

In his new role, Selinske will oversee the association’s daily operations, legislative lobbying efforts in St. Paul, and the expansion of member benefits, including specialized safety training and networking events.

“The glass industry has given me a rewarding career for over 50 years, and I am honored to give back to the Minnesota community in this capacity,” says Selinske. “My focus will be on ensuring the MGA remains a powerful voice for our members at the Capitol while providing the tools and training necessary for the next generation of glass professionals to succeed.”

Beyond his professional work, Selinske is an active member of Rotary International and a dedicated supporter of NARI Cares MN and the Special Olympics Polar Plunge.
