Back-painted glass

AGC Glass North America introduced a new portfolio of back-painted decorative glass. Its interior and exterior temperable back-painted glasses will include Lacobel T, a float glass painted on one side with a high-quality temperable paint to create a glossy finish, and Matelac T, an acid-etched float glass painted on one side with a high-quality temperable paint to create a satin finish. Each product is available in a palette of 10 colors.

Color coatings

Bendheim introduced HardShell color coating for back-painted glass with an extended 10-year warranty. The durable, third-party-tested coating creates luminous glass wall surfaces that are completely customizable, durable, and easy to install and maintain, according to company officials. HardShell colors are formulated specifically for back-painted glass. They are baked onto the glass at approximately 600 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure superior adhesion and durability, allowing the glass to be trimmed, hydro-cut, and polished by the glazier without damaging the color.
