PYROSWISS 45 is a highly tempered clear fire-resistant safety glass; recently extended to a more versatile range of UL-listed fire-protective and impact-safety 45-minute applications. It meets fire-rated standards and impact safety ratings. There are no UV-sensitive interlayers, no films or embedded wires, allowing the glass to realize a 90% visible light transmission in its low-iron option. Sound transmission values are among the lowest for its size on the fire-protective market today, with the added benefit of UV stability.
In addition, PYROSWISS 45 is suitable for hollow-metal framing and doors (3/4 inch glass thickness with minimum stop height of 5/8 inches) and is fully sourced and manufactured in North America for greater sustainability benefits.

SAF’s C-4000 Series system may now be used in NFPA 285-compliant wall assemblies. The assembly that passed comprised SAF C-4000 wall panels, including 4-millimeter Alucobond Plus and SAF extrusions; 2-inch-thick, 4-pounds-per-cubic-foot mineral wool exterior insulation; Tremco Exo-Air 230 water-resistive barrier; 1/2-inch Georgia Pacific DensGlass exterior sheathing; and Aluminum Z girts.
