SAFTI FIRST logoSAFTI FIRST’s SuperClear 45-HS-LI (hose stream low-iron) is a new, affordable, patent-pending 45-minute glazing product that replaces unsafe wire glass and expensive ceramics, considered obsolete by SAFTI FIRST, in all 45-minute applications.

Proudly USA-made, SuperClear 45-HS-LI is listed by both UL and Intertek, and meets NFPA 252, NFPA 257, UL 9 and UL 10C for fire and CPSC Cat. II, which includes the 400 foot-pound test, for safety. It does not need any films or laminates to meet impact safety requirements. SuperClear 45-HS-LI is a durable product that is more likely to survive an impact compared to filmed or laminated ceramics, which means lower replacement costs over time.

Clarity

SuperClear 45-HS-LI does not have any wires or amber tints, making it the only true CLEAR SOLUTION for 45-minute doors, sidelites, transoms and openings. It has an approximate visible light transmission of 90 percent, compared to 88 percent for premium filmed ceramic and 85 percent for premium laminated ceramic. This makes SuperClear 45-HS-LI the clearest 45-minute fire-protective glazing product in the market today.

Performance

SuperClear 45-HS-LI also performed better in an independent, third-party acoustical lab test against filmed and laminated ceramic in standard hollow metal frames. SuperClear 45-HS-LI has a 37 STC/35 OITC rating in standard hollow metal framing, compared to 29 STC/28 OITC for filmed ceramic in standard hollow metal framing and 31 STC/30 OITC for laminated ceramic in standard hollow metal framing.

Certification

SuperClear 45-HS-LI is also listed as an approved glazing component in the National Fenestration Rating Council’s Component Modeling Approach Software Tool database. Architects, consultants, builders and other NFRC CMAST users can now simulate the U-factor, solar heat gain coefficient and visual light transmission of 45-minute exterior window assemblies that incorporate SuperClear 45-HS-LI, GPX Framing and any other glazing or spacer component available in the CMAST database.

All of these benefits listed above, at a more affordable price than filmed or laminated ceramics used in the same application.
