In an email letter to its customers, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope announced it will be closing its glass facility in Hauppauge, New York, effective August 5, in an effort to optimize its business and better compete in the markets it serves.
Products originally sourced from Hauppauge will now be sourced from OBE facilities in Moorestown, New Jersey; Syracuse, New York and Westbrook, Maine, with no expected impact on delivery schedules. In the email to customers, President of Glass and Glazing Systems Steve Dean, says that operations will continue smoothly without any disruption and customer experience with OBE will remain largely unchanged, with all orders continuing to be fulfilled as usual.
