Guardian Glass Announces Team Advancements and New Hire for Western North America
Guardian Glass has announced team advancements and a new hire within its North American architectural sales division.
Geoff Shellard has advanced to the role of regional architectural manager for Central and Western North America. Transitioning from his previous position as architectural design manager for the Pacific Northwest, Shellard brings 11 years of glass industry experience to his new leadership role. He now manages a team of ADMs across a territory spanning "from Ohio to Oahu, Anchorage to Austin." Shellard has also served on the Board of Directors for Fenestration Canada since 2024.
Stepping into Shellard’s former territory, John Alley joins Guardian Glass as the new architectural design manager for the Pacific Northwest region. Alley will consult with design professionals, glaziers, and fabricators across British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, specializing in Guardian Glass SunGuard high-performance low-E coatings. Alley brings more than 18 years of technical expertise to the team, including an 11-year tenure as an architectural consultant for Custom Building Products. Alley has spent seven years in leadership with the Vancouver Chapter of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC), currently serving as Director and Treasurer.
Rounding out the regional alignment, Sydney Penberthy is transitioning territories to become the ADM for California, trading the Midwest for the West Coast. Since joining Guardian at the start of 2025, Penberthy has led architectural tours of landmark Guardian Glass projects across Chicago.
