The Glass Guru Opens First Location in PA

The Glass Guru added the organization’s newest franchise location in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. This marks the company’s first franchise location in the state of Pennsylvania. Franchise owners Placido and Alicia Hernandez completed their initial franchise training in mid-February 2021.

Placido comes to The Glass Guru after spending a decade serving the local community as a law enforcement officer. Alicia is a local realtor, and the couple have been avid real estate investors for some time.

“We have always wanted to start a business that would make a difference in our community while at the same time providing quality service to our local residents,” says the couple. “As real estate investors we saw a specific niche within the home remodeling market that was greatly underserved, windows and glass. We experienced this issue firsthand when we needed our own windows repaired. The Glass Guru was the obvious choice as they were the only company we could find that offered foggy window repair. Their knowledge of the industry and customer service is second to none.”

Glass Guru’s Continued Expansion

With a new location in Pennsylvania, The Glass Guru’s strategy of targeting underserved markets is continuing to play out. The company has deliberately focused franchise recruiting efforts on parts of the country where The Glass Guru has less brand presence than in other heavily saturated markets. That’s led to a significant increase in new The Glass Guru locations in previously unserved / underserved markets like Tennessee, Michigan, Kansas, and now Pennsylvania.

The company has seen great momentum and monumental growth, in spite of the pandemic and the economic impact that many other market categories have felt.

The leadership team at The Glass Guru have great expectations about how the Hernandez’s will perform in their market. The Lehigh Valley market is full of untapped potential and unserved customer needs. This bodes well for the couple, as the perpetual demand for glass, window, and door services for residential and light-commercial customers has been a component of the company’s growth since the inception of franchising in 2007.
