January Sees Rise in Unemployment for Manufacturing, Decrease for Construction

The unemployment rate for construction dropped from 9.6 in December 2020 to 9.4 in January 2021, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the same timeframe, unemployment increased for durable goods manufacturing, rising from December’s posting of 3.5 to January’s 4.2.
