NSG Group Head of Architectural North America Division Retires

Richard “Dick” Altman will retire from NSG Group March 31, after 41 years of service. Altman joined Libbey-Owens-Ford in 1979 and has enjoyed a successful career and a variety of responsibilities, covering finance, supply chain and manufacturing. He has seen the company transition from LOF to Pilkington to the NSG Group.

He was named regional director of architectural glass and solar in 2006 and in this role has been responsible for the company's architectural business as well as the growing solar business. Most recently he led the successful commissioning of the new Luckey, Ohio, float glass operation.

Altman’s commitment has been to keep the customer first and employees as a very close second, say company officials.

NSG Group is also pleased to announce that Stephen Weidner has been named head of Architectural North America, replacing Altman. Weidner has been with the company for 33 years and in the flat glass industry for more than 40 years. Most recently he held a dual role leading the commercial side of the architectural business in North America and a global role driving the value-added strategy for the company.
