Stratford Citizens’ Group Launches Complaint Regarding Proposed Xinyi Plant

Get Concerned Stratford, a local group of citizens that oppose the proposed construction a new Xinyi Glass float glass plant in Stratford, Canada, has launched a complaint to a third-party investigator, according to local reporting in the Stratford Beacon Herald. The investigation is aimed at the alleged lack of transparency regarding the Ministerial Zoning Order, a government process leading to the zoning of the intended site of construction for industrial use.

Residents staged a protest regarding the proposed float plant, citing the nature of the planning process. The local city council is scheduled to meet with Xinyi Canada on Dec. 14.
