Quattrolifts added a variable hydraulic speed dial to its Vector 880, Vector 880 Off Road and Vector 1800 Off Road glazing robots, alleviating glazier concerns about jerky movement when micro movement is required, say company officials. Using the dial, glaziers can manipulate glass lites and windows weighing upwards of 1,800 pounds with micrometer precision, mitigating a large fear of damaging expensive glass while also improving safety. For the machine operator, the dial simply adjusts the sensitivity of the existing controls, which, in most cases, will solve tight installation issues where precision is crucial.
