Scanner
Faro Technologies Inc. released the Freestyle 2 Handheld Scanner. For the construction industry, accurate dimensions and locations are needed when coordinating with scope done earlier in the project, such as underground stub-ups. The new scanner addresses these challenges. The scanner is compact, so it can be used in tight areas. It’s also fast, able to capture color scans of targeted areas or objects in as little as one-third of the time as with tripod scanning, say officials.
