Racking system from Integrated Automation Systems

Users of the Integrated Automation Systems AutoRack1 can rack and un-rack from horizontal
and vertical lines anywhere in the operation. Users will be able to rack and un-rack gently and consistently at a rate of more than 2,500 units per shift, according to the company. On horizontal lines, the AutoRack1 indexer can be extended after racking so units can be cooled, gas-filled and closed, achieving one-piece flow. AutoRack1 reduces handling damage, thanks to a rack design that makes it nearly impossible to scratch glass in combination with the company’s automated process that consistently and gently racks and un-racks glass.

Lubrication system

Adelio Lattuada developed a progressive lubrication system for its machinery. In a progressive system the lubricant is pumped into a single input of a “progressive distributor” and is volumetrically divided into a number of points by the progressive movement of the pistons arranged in sequence. The system allows users to have more control over the correct operation of the entire system and individual outlet points, not just the oil level and the correct operation of the pump, say officials.

Low-E removal

With optional devices, Intermac’s Genius CT-RED can perform low-emissivity removal operations on glass. For example, the company’s tangential coating remover device removes the low-E coating from glass with a durable abrasive grinding wheel. The hood is positioned at 1 millimeter from the glass surface, and the automatic grinding wheel’s wear compensation capability produces constant, high-quality soft coating removal. Its industrial suction device features a residue collection tank on the cutting carriage.
