AGC Glass Europe Reopens Renovated Float Line in Czech Republic

AGC Glass Europe announced on its Facebook page that the company had inaugurated its Řetenice plant, based in Czech Republic. The line went through cold repair of the furnace.
The new line features oxycombustion technology, says the announcement, using 100 percent oxygen as an oxidizer instead of air, resulting in a decrease of melting energy consumption and a reduction of CO2 and NOx emissions. The renovation is part of AGC’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, say officials.
