From Oct. 20-23, the global glass industry will gather in Düsseldorf, Germany, for glasstec, the International Trade Fair for Glass Production, Processing, Products. Nearly 1,200 exhibitors are showing glass industry innovations over eight halls at the Messe Düsseldorf fairgrounds. The event also features four days of conference programming spotlighting how decarbonization, the circular economy, and artificial intelligence and digital technologies are driving transformation in glass.

The National Glass Association has a booth at glasstec. Come see NGA staff in Hall 10 / H69.

“glasstec brings the international glass sector together precisely at a point in time where orientation and personal exchange are in particular demand,” says Daniel Feische, director of glasstec and the Glass Technologies Portfolio. “Here innovations encounter concrete applications, research meets with practice and international decision-makers with new business partners. It is this combination that makes the world-leading trade fair the platform for investment decisions and the further development of the industry.”

glass technology live

glass technology live returns to glasstec, showing product innovations that explore the edge of what’s possible with glass. The gtl area was produced in cooperation with the technical universities of Delft, Darmstadt, Dresden and Bochum, and showcases research projects, technology developments and innovative applications that will pave the way for industrial implementation. This show demonstrates how current research translates into market-relevant solutions and highlights the impetus it provides for the future of the glass industry.

“For me, glass technology live is one of the places at glasstec where the close connection between research and industrial practice becomes particularly tangible. Here, our visitors do not just see ideas or concepts, but real exhibits and prototypes, and they can talk directly to the people working on these developments,” says Feische.
