C.R. Laurence altered its Will Call service practices until March 30, according to a statement released by the company. The statement cited concern for the health and welfare of employees, and the guidance on the enhanced guidance from authorities on social distancing.
The company provided the following message for customers:
You can place your orders as normal online at crlaurence.com or on our toll free phone 800/421-6144. During this period, we will not be accepting orders placed in person at our service centers. We strongly recommend orders be placed for UPS shipping to eliminate the need to visit our service centers.
If your situation will not allow UPS shipping, we will do our best to service will call pick up orders. Please email WCOrders@crlaurence.com to schedule a pickup of your order. Please include your company name, phone number and order # (if known) and the time you’d like to pick up your order. Please provide at least two hours advance notification before you arrive.
We will email a confirmation to you acknowledging the pickup. When you arrive, please drive to the loading dock in the parking lot and a CRL Representative will meet you at your vehicle and load your order.
All CRL Service Centers currently open on Saturdays, will be closed until further notice. They will be open during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
We believe this will allow our customers to continue to do business and maintain prudent social distancing to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Please also note we have instituted an aggressive policy where any employee who exhibits symptoms of illness or have reported potential exposure to a confirmed or potentially contaminated individual have been placed on self-quarantine and will not be at work. We respectfully ask you follow the same guidelines for you and your staff. If you’re not feeling well, please opt for UPS shipping and limit contact with other people.
