Kawneer is expanding its OptiQ® window portfolio with the release of the new OptiQ® Offset Fixed/Projected Series Window.

Designed for new-build or retrofit applications, the OptiQ® Offset Fixed/Projected Series Window has been expertly engineered to meet the building and construction industry’s evolving needs. With a classic yet contemporary design that delivers the look of a single-hung window, this product offers the simplicity of a single contiguous frame with a fixed lite on top and an offset operable vent or fixed lite underneath for improved performance and operation.

Advanced design

The advanced design of the OptiQ® Offset Fixed/Projected Series Window meets the ultra-thermal requirements of the industry with its built-in thermal intelligence. By incorporating a polyamide thermal barrier system, the window optimizes thermal continuity, transmission and interior heat management to deliver a variety of benefits from occupant comfort to energy efficiency. Maximizing the thermal capabilities of a 1-inch infill window by leveraging insulating foam strips, the system offers near triple-glaze performance with double glazing in fixed, project-in and project-out configurations.

Kawneer’s innovative new window minimizes air leakage and sound transference through a contiguous seal to optimize energy efficiency, condensation resistance and acoustic performance.

Design advantages

Available with different profile options, this versatile product accommodates a wide range of design needs, offering ribbon window applications, as well as oversize capabilities, enabling windows up to 10 feet tall and 5 feet wide, with an operable portion of 5 feet by 5 feet.

With its single-frame design, the OptiQ® Offset Fixed/Projected Series Window arrives on-site fully fabricated from the factory and ready to install in the opening. The advantage of this design over the complexities of traditional two-piece, single-hung windows on the market allows the system to help streamline installation and reduce field labor.
