Pulp Studio has expanded its project repertoire with the addition of Gravitas, a members only private club in Beverly Hills, California. This project features Pulp Studio’s architectural glass throughout numerous spaces, including the entryway, dining area and conference rooms.
What Pulp Studio leadership says
“Gravitas is a true showcase of Pulp Studio’s diversity in applications and craftsmanship,” says Kirk Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Pulp Studio. “Our glass was featured across multiple interior and exterior spaces in this project, highlighting not only the range of our capabilities, but also the premium quality of our work. Pulp Studio’s artisans undergo years of training to master the artistry and dexterity Pulp glass is known for, ensuring its place in distinguished, high-end environments like these.”
Project details
The entrance of Gravitas features neutral gray reflective glass that creates a modern aesthetic. Pulp Studio supplied nine panels of ¼-inch low iron glass, which is laminated with a custom-colored interlayer, producing the bold red and sleek gray reflections. With 20% visible light transmission, the glass maintains privacy while reducing heat and glare.
Inside the club, Pulp Studio supplied 150 pieces of two-layer laminated ¼-inch bronze glass for the stair handrails that overlook the restaurant space. For the conference room, SwitchLite Privacy Glass was installed to enhance privacy. Utilizing Pulp Studio’s proprietary technology, SwitchLite allows users to shift the glass between opaque and transparent.
Gravitas blends culinary experiences, service and networking opportunities. Offering luxury hospitality, this venue boasts an open-air dining area, private conference rooms and game lounges.
