Southern Aluminum Finishing (SAF) announced the promotion of a longtime team member. Wayne Sharp has been promoted to vice president of sales.
Sharp's responsibilities
In his new role, Sharp will bring over two decades of experience with SAF. He will oversee a national team of account managers, estimators and project managers supporting SAF’s fabrication, distribution, and finishing operations.
In his new capacity, he will report directly to SAF CEO Penn McClatchey and continue to be based in Temple, Texas. He will dedicate a significant portion of his time to customer engagement and strategic sales initiatives alongside SAF’s account teams.
Sharp's experience
Sharp began his SAF journey more than 20 years ago, serving in roles such as customer consultant, inside sales manager and account manager, before taking on the position of general manager at SAF’s startup location in Temple, Texas. During his tenure there, Sharp played a critical role in scaling operations and driving sales growth, all while maintaining high standards of production efficiency.
“Wayne’s deep commitment to SAF, our customers, and our mission makes him the ideal leader to guide our sales efforts forward,” says Penn McClatchey, CEO of SAF. “His firsthand experience across our operations and his strategic mindset are invaluable assets to our team.”
John McClatchey, a co-owner of SAF, will continue in his role as Vice President of Marketing. He will also maintain responsibility for managing SAF’s accounts across the New England, Greater New York City, and the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia territories.
