Tubelite 400T Series Thermal Curtain Wall is ideal for retail centers, office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, and other medium- and low-rise applications. Tubelite, a brand of Apogee Architectural Metals, manufactures this curtain wall with extruded aluminum, durable architectural finishes, polyamide thermal barriers, thick gasketing and optional polyamide pressure plates to achieve high performance, as well as a long lifespan.

With continuous improvements, this thermally broken system has been tested and modeled per the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) procedure. It offers a U-Factor as low as 0.32 for thermal transmittance and a frame condensation resistance factor (CRFf) of 79.
Tubelite 400T Thermal Curtain Wall has a 2-1/2-inch sightline, with system depths ranging from 6-1/4 to 10-1/4 inches. The system is a shear block, outside glazed, captured curtain wall that can be stick fabricated for field glazing. Its concealed fastener joinery creates a smooth, monolithic appearance. The curtain wall integrates seamlessly with Tubelite windows, entrances, storefront, and other aluminum fenestration and framing systems.
Within the 400T curtain wall, the glass is positioned to the system’s exterior for enhanced resistance to rainwater infiltration. The 1/2-inch bite securely grips insulated glass or panels of 1-inch thickness. Infill thicknesses from 1/8 inch to 1-5/16 inches also can be accommodated. Horizontal members allow for expansion/contraction clearances to minimize splice requirements. Verticals can be steel-reinforced for extra rigidity against strong windloads. For added strength, backmembers feature a closed-tongue design which also improves pressure plate anchorage.
A wide range of standard anodized finishes and paint colors are available. Upon request, blended and custom colors, and two-color, split finish options may be specified. Durable finishes also reduce buildings’ maintenance costs and contribute to long lifecycles.
