Cancelled Projects Result in Declining Construction Employment

Construction employment for July was down in 26 states and Washington, D.C., according to the Associated General Contractors of America’s analysis of government employment data. The decline is due to an increase in cancelled projects, according to the report. Organization officials say that employment will likely continue to drop across the U.S. in the absence of new recovery measures, including liability reform and new infrastructure funding.
