Guardian Glass North America launched the latest product to help customers and homeowners prepare for the newest codes: Guardian ClimaGuard 70 residential glass with an effective U-factor.

About ClimaGuard 70

ClimaGuard 70 glass is part of Guardian’s effort to deliver products that offer advanced coating solutions in anticipation of codes such as ENERGY STAR Version 7.0 and the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code that drive energy conservation in residential buildings.

With a visible light transmission of 69% and solar heat gain of 0.35, ClimaGuard 70 glass offers views with bright neutrality. Its center-of-glass 0.24 U-factor aims to help homes manage solar heat in warmer months and provide thermal insulation in cooler months. ClimaGuard 70 glass, along with Guardian’s fourth-surface low-e coating, ClimaGuard IS-20 residential glass will help customers meet the ENERGY STAR Version 7.0 North-Central performance criteria with double-pane IGUs.

Guardian is improving its residential portfolio by closely partnering with customers and will soon follow ClimaGuard 70 glass with another ClimaGuard product to assist customers in achieving ENERGY STAR Version 7.0 performance.
