Guardian to Supply Glass to Supertall Jeddah Tower

Guardian Glass will supply the façade glass to Jeddah Tower, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which is set to break records as the world’s tallest building. The over $1.2 billion supertall building structure, to be completed in 2019, will cover an area of over 17 million square feet and include 439 apartments, 200 hotel rooms, 59 elevators and 2,205 parking spaces.

Guardian Glass will provide more than 1.3 million square feet of aesthetic and functional glass panels to meet the project’s energy and performance requirements, which will be used for the project’s almost mile-high landscape. The glass chosen for the structure is a custom-made, double-pane glass system combining Guardian Glass’ SunGuard Silver 20 and SunGuardNeutral 60 coated glass products.

The glass will be manufactured at the Al Jubail Guardian plant, then delivered to UAAC factory in Jeddah for fabrication and assembly.
