The construction of Xinyi Glass Canada Ltd.’s first float plant in Canada could be halted by a vote of the local mayor and councillors of Guelph-Eramosa, the area where the plant is scheduled to be constructed, according to reporting by Global News. Councillor David Wolk is expected to submit a motion calling for a refusal of Xinyi Glass’s application. The potential refusal comes as a result of local concern over the amount of water the factory will use.
