Founded 30 years ago by Rodney Erdman, Erdman Automation of Princeton, Minnesota, has since been supplying automated equipment solutions for window and door, insulating glass and commercial glass. As of January 1, Morgan Donohue will step in as the new owner of the company.

Donohue's experience

Donohue has worked alongside Erdman for over 25 years from the very beginnings at the Erdman farm to the 215,000-plus-square-foot facility in Princeton. Donohue’s dedicated vision has been pivotal to Erdman’s success. He holds numerous patents for the machines Erdman produces.  As Donohue is already the current president of Erdman Automaton, customers and partners can expect a seamless transition.

What Donohue says

“Rod has laid a terrific foundation for our success; it is an awesome responsibility to take what he has built and continue it.  I will do everything in my power to be a good steward of the company so I can pass it on to the next generation, as healthy as he has passed it to me. The team, culture and structure he has built is so good, honestly, I just need to make sure we stay on the same path,” says Donohue.
