Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Launches Thermal Storefront Systems

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope announced the launch of its advanced thermal storefront systems, now engineered for stringent energy demands. The Series 3000 XT and 6000 XT High Performance Storefront systems feature thin triple insulating glass units (IGUs) and deliver U-factors as low as 0.20.
Product details
These next-generation systems incorporate thin triple IGUs to deliver up to 25% better thermal performance than traditional double-glazed storefront systems, all without increasing system depth. Engineered to meet IECC Climate Zones 3 through 8, with a focus on regions like the Northeast and Northwest where higher performance standards and stretch codes are driving demand, these high-performance versions of OBE’s Series 3000 XT and 6000 XT Storefront systems feature dual pour and debridge thermal break, optimizing both thermal performance and condensation resistance.
The launch of these High Thermal Storefront systems featuring thin triple IGUs is an additional glazing option for OBE’s Series 3000 XT and 6000 XT, designed to meet a wide range of performance requirements. The standard 1-inch insulating glass configuration still provides enhanced energy efficiency. For projects that demand maximum thermal performance, the 1-inch thin triple IGU option pushes efficiency without requiring changes to system depth or installation methods.
