Woods Powr-Grip Co., a manufacturer of vacuum cups and vacuum lifting equipment used to handle glass and other materials, has purchased AEGIS Tools International Inc. assets and trademarks. AEGIS is a designer and manufacturer of windshield repair equipment and auto installation tools.
This decision comes as AEGIS owners Robert and Caryn Birkhauser plan on retiring nearly four decades after Robert developed the first AEGIS Windshield Repair System for use by Auto Glass Specialists, Inc., his family’s chain of auto glass installation centers.
All future production and fulfillment of the AEGIS product line will occur at WPG’s facility in Montana. AEGIS-branded and other auto glass repair and installation tools will continue to be sold through AEGIS' website, as well as through AEGIS’s worldwide network of distributors.

WPG’s President and CEO Bryan Wood agrees that WPG was a good fit for AEGIS, and he wishes the Birkhausers a happy retirement.
