President Trump signed legislation on July 4 extending the deadline for small businesses to apply for Payment Protection Program loans to Aug. 8, reports The Hill. The PPP expired on June 30 with $130 billion in unused funds remaining.
Congress is also in the midst of talks to pass a phase 4 coronavirus stimulus bill to provide additional economic relief.
