Saint-Gobain Divests its Glazing Installation Business in the United Kingdom

Saint-Gobain sold its façade installing and glass replacing activities in the United Kingdom to an affiliate of CoBe Capital. The sale comes after Saint-Gobain’s strategic review of its British glass business, say officials.

Trading under the Glassolutions name until the disposal, this business has delivered an annual turnover around $90 million and employs around 440 people. The rest of the Glassolutions activities, in the core areas of glass transformation and distribution for new construction and renovation, are not affected by this move, according to Saint-Gobain. The disposal is part of the Group target to focus on a coherent and value-creating portfolio of businesses.
